Planning a Trip to Vancouver, B.C.? Don’t Miss these Five Must-See Attractions

Vancouver, B.C. is one of the best cities in the Pacific Northwest to visit due to the vast amount of activities. There are hundreds of great restaurants to appeal to the foodies, and tons of wildlife in the nature areas for the animal lover to see. For the outdoorsmen, there are mountains to ski, waters to kayak, and parks to hike. And, for the  shopper, a great downtown district that will keep you busy for hours. No matter what your tastes, there is something for everyone to do in Vancouver. However, there are five must-see attractions that everyone needs to see when visiting Vancouver, B.C.

Granville Island

Are you looking to experience Vancouver’s culture? If so make your way to Granville Island. Granville Island is a fantastic marketplace with great restaurants, farmers market style shops, and local entertainment. Van Dusen Botanical Garden

It is quite common for people to think of visiting botanical gardens during the summer when flowers are in bloom, but the Van Dusen Botanical Garden is one you will want to visit no matter what time. This gigantic garden features many trees and flowers. During the spring, the garden is budding and begins to fill with color, summer everything is in full bloom, and during fall different plants are the focal point. Winter is one of the most exciting times to visit, as the Christmas lights are stunning amid the plant life.

Kayaking at Point Doughty State Park

One of the greatest draws for tourism to Vancouver is the natural beauty of the area, and there is no better way to view that beauty than by kayaking at Point Doughty State Park.   By paddling out through the sound you not only see the beautiful landscapes that surround the area, but you often see a large amount of wildlife. From orcas to harbor seals and bald eagles, Point Doughty State Park has everything you want to see.
